This is such a cute place. My coworkers and I come here a few times a month to grab a drink and we always enjoy it. We have a good time seeing the staff and getting a few beers and apps. I do like the onion rings and wings. It's very dive bar vibes. We always sit at the bar on the side and look at the little fish. It's good pricing for what you get. We really do enjoy it and I would recommend.

Fun pub, I haven't been here for decades. It's the same old Tierney's! The bartenders were fast, and the band was great! It's a long (3 hour) drive for me, but I'll be back the next time I'm in Montclair.

Great atmosphere, solid service, and much better food that you’d expect from a bar as packed as this one. The character in this place could fuel a syndicate sitcom for a couple seasons at a minimum. There aren’t a lot of options for a late night drink in Montclair, but Tierney’s tops the list regardless.

Really great Irish bar in Montclair. Pretty busy even mid afternoon, but that speaks volumes about a place. Came specifically for the “Buddy Burger” which NJ.com ranks as the #4 burger in the state! I don’t know much about rankings, but the burger was juicy, meaty deliciousness. Comes simply with cheese, tons of caramelized onions and some worcesteshire sauce! Outstanding! Fries were battered and fried and were served piping hot. Will be back!

Great burgers and relatively inexpensive drinks. Gets a bit loud, but I suppose that's what everyone is there to do! An island of affordable fun in a sea of wonderful (and very expensive) local restaurants. Highly recommened if you need to blow off some steam!

Old school no frills bar with a damn good burger. Seems like a typical local dive bar that has your typical average beer selection and a small food menu. Dont come here looking for the newest trendy IPA or a Michelin style tasting menu. Get a cold one while you wait for the real star of the show...the buddy burger. Its basic but done so exceptionally well it almost doesnt seem real. Its a cheese burger topped with a pile of caramelized onions. The buddy burger is an "off menu" item but its mentioned on the menu and everyone seems to know about it. The fries and onion rings are also done extremely well and should be ordered as well. I got the wings too but those can be skipped...its a burger place not a wong place dont waste your time. I can absolutely see why this place is rated one of the top burgers in the state.

Went last night to see the band: Big Mamou. Big shout out to the bartender, Frank. Friendly responsive, good service. Fun environment. Casual, clean, and friendly people. We enjoyed the dancing. And the sound and lighting people did a great job! Next time we go, we'll go early for dinner, packed & popular. The parking lot was full - a cop recommended using the side street to avoid the neighboring businesses enforcing towing from their lot. Don't block any driveways. Go check out Tierney's Tavern, I bet you'll have a good time. We will be back.

Loved the atmosphere definitely a great neighborhood spot! Service was great bartenders are very interactive even as super busy as it was. Burgers are delicious!

The best tavern in Montclair! The burger was next level, and honestly, the grilled cheese blew me away! The fries are also super addictive. Everyone was fighting over them.

A great neighborhood bar! Lots of locals having a good time. Food was served on paper plates but it did not disappoint, it actually added to the experience. The bacon cheeseburger was exactly what I expected from a local bar and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Great place to go have a beer and a burger!
